When s he finally realizes that somebody switched out all of her nuts with left-hand thread nuts. Finally getting my friend back for the time s he hung a bazillion fake spiderwebs throughout my condo. $25 well spent.
G od I love McLendons.
I can’t bring myself to go to big box home improvement stores anymore. Mclendons has my interior trim fasteners!!! They have bonded nylon washers! Caliper bleed screws! Valves with Viton seals! Grade 8 h ardware in more than just the most common 4 s izes *cough* home depot *cough*.
And the employees are so freakin’ helpful. They know their shit, and on more than one occasion I’ve chatted with folk in t he plumbing department about some pretty complex custom systems I’m working on and left the store feeling much more confident. They’ve helped me figure out how to work with metal on a budget (simple jigs, baby). They’ve special ordered strange items for me and expedited the shipping. They’ve bestowed praise upon the Miata.
Good people.
The aisles aren’t labeled and at first I had NO CLUE where anything was, but after numerous visits for work I think I’ve figured things out. I’m honestly factoring in “distance to McLendons” for my next home.
Okay, back to the pranking. My friend is rebuilding her STI's engine so hopefully she notices soon...

Oh that’s evil!
Sounds like my kind of place. I'm at my local Ace Hardware quite regularly, for the same reasons. It's small enough that I still have to go to Home Depot sometimes, but I do it as infrequently as possible.

But so, sooooo deserved. I opened my bedroom door one day and saw webs going from floor to ceiling, wall to wall. Absolutely covered. I could barely see down the hallway. Almost had a heart attack before I realized they were fake

There was an Ace that came and went before I really got into handyman-type things. Never did get to check it out...
I guess HD is still the best for some things. I definitely wouldn't want to buy a new power to at my local place with their markup

First of all, my regard for you just jumped immeasurably because of this prank.
Second of all, no big box home improvement store will ever displace the need for an honest to goodness hardware store. The day Elliot’s opened a store in Casa Linda near me, my heart leaped. A guy’s gotta get his weird nuts, bolts, screws, and fasteners somewhere.
edit: also, I had some friends in the Michigan dental school who did the web things to a faculty member’s office, but they did it with dental floss. Epic.

Did I ever tell you about the time I put a remote-controlled car inside a friend’s wall, with the joystick taped in the “accelerate” position?
Battery lasted for weeks. She never found it because I actually cut out a piece of drywall and patched/painted it up to the point that it was all but indistinguishable.
Scientists scare me. I spent three weeks at an dental research lab a few years ago and quickly lost track of the little pranks they all played on each other. Most of which seemed to involve explosions, or chemical reactions.

Oh, let me tell you what happens when you put dry ice in a soda bottle with some warm water. You get a grenade that shakes the shutters of the buildings across the street when you lob it from the parking garage.
Or so I’ve heard.

left hand threaded nuts?
i see no issue with it, as long as you have the bolts to go with them
